4% of Spanish companies are already investigating, with interest, the metaverse

Although the metaverse is something quite new, it seems that it is going to revolutionize the business world, in the next few years. Thus, as indicated from w3volution, among Spanish companies there are many who recognize that they need to understand it to get the most out of their business. This means that the projects in the metaverse are being carried out at a pace, but surely. Currently, 4% of Spanish companies are currently working on projects in this new scenario.

In the last year, the metaverse has gained enormous prominence. Numerous studies point to the growth that this new scenario will experience, which will combine physical and virtual reality, and the investments that large companies are already making in it.

However, in Spain, only 4% of companies are currently developing projects in the metaverse. This is clear from the data provided by the ‘First Observatory of Metaverso and Companies in Spain’, prepared by the Business School of the Digital Era of Spain (ISDI).

According to this study, 40% of Spanish companies are still in the process of looking for how to integrate virtual reality in their business. In addition, 23% indicate that they are trying to understand what the metaverse is in order to delve into it in an optimal way. Not in vain, 14% acknowledge not knowing how to implement it in their sector. On the other hand, 36% of the professionals surveyed in this study acknowledge that they need more information to immerse themselves in the metaverse.

Along these lines, half of the professionals state that they know very little about the metaverse and what exactly it is for. This highlights the need to have talent specially trained in this new scenario, so that 28% of companies are already carrying out training plans in this regard.
