A smarter home
One of the main uses that is usually made of these equipment is to control the different home automation equipment that we have at home. Among them can be smart bulbs, our Smart TVs and even robot vacuum cleaners compatible with Alexa.
All these devices can be at our disposal, without lifting a finger, by simply asking Amazon’s smart assistant to make them work with a voice command. It is not something vital to our existence but, after using it for a while, we can assure you that it will make your life easier in many situations.

Thanks to Amazon’s smart speakers we can maintain communication both inside and outside the home. And is that one of its star features is power make calls (included by video, if available) or use it as an intercom.
In the case of calls, we can communicate with anyone who has another Amazon Echo speaker in their home or even if that user installs the Alexa app on their smartphone. If you both have one of this manufacturer’s screen speakers, which incorporate an integrated camera, these calls may be by videoconference. To be able to use this functionality you will only have to say “Alexa, call …” indicating the name of the contact.
On the other hand, if you have several Amazon Echos scattered around the house, you can use them to communicate with someone at the other end of the house without having to raise your voice. You just have to say “Alexa, let everyone know that the food is on the table”, then the assistant will launch your message through all the speakers in the house.
Control your schedule and shopping list effortlessly
Personally, we love to use these two features of the Amazon Echo to help us in our day to day.
You should know that you can ask Alexa to save any task in your calendar and that, of course, it reminds you when the time comes. If at home you have a speaker with a screen, at a glance you can see the pending tasks you have every day.
Another super interesting feature, and that will surely save you time as well as forgetting something, is that we can create a Shopping list with Alexa. We recommend that you have an Amazon Echo in the kitchen, near the refrigerator, and every time you see that a certain food is running out say “Alexa, add ham” changing “ham” for what you need to add. This will automatically make the assistant store it in the shopping list and then, when you arrive at the supermarket, you will only have to open the Alexa app on your phone to have everything pointed out.

Without a doubt, the Amazon Echo family is quite broad. You have models of all kinds and with very varied designs. From some very small like the Amazon Echo Dot, others that we can place anywhere like the Echo Flex or speakers with a screen like the Echo Show that we can use as a photo frame to hide them in our living room.
In short, you have a lot of Amazon Echo speakers to buy with designs of all kinds to distribute throughout your house. There is no excuse to say that they do not fit the decoration.
