A eight year old scottish boy had to be induced to coma after registering a rare effect of Covid-19. Some local media reported that the little Cameron brown it was hospitalized three weeks after recovering of the infection because he noticed something strange in his body.
The Daily Record specified that the little had Covid-19 but asymptomatic more than 20 days ago, however, he became concerned when he discovered that he had a lump in the neck and some hives on the body; a few days later, he told his parents that could not see well, so they immediately took him to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
On November 2, the emergency doctors detected that the little one had Pediatric Multisystemic Inflammatory Syndrome (MIS-C, for its acronym in English), a series of rare symptoms that appear after people have overcome the Covid-19 infection; If it is not detected and treated in time, it can be life-threatening.
According to the Mayo Clinic, MIS-C is characterized by inflammation of organs and tissues such as the heart, lungs, blood vessels, kidneys, digestive system, brain, skin, or eyes. In Cameron’s case, the little boy had rashes on his body and little by little his heart began to fail and his blood pressure had dropped, Lorraine, the boy’s mother, told the Record.

However, Cameron Brown was released a week later and returned home to his family, his father, James, told the Record. there his mother Lorraine and his brothers Archie and Ben, 12 and 13 years old, were already waiting for him. During recovery, the boy has had some mental confusion and minor leg cramps, but he recovers quickly, his father said.
