With the aim of reducing it to the maximum, which could already be considered a fixed expense in family economies, ANOVO shares five key recommendations to save money on subscriptions to audiovisual content platforms:

1. Take advantage of annual subscriptions. When the user subscribes to any type of content, the platforms usually offer several types of subscriptions. The most common is that a monthly price and an annual fee are offered. Given this situation, it is advisable to make a price comparison and assess which option is cheaper in the long term. In general, annual rates offer a discount compared to paying monthly.
2. Bet on group or family rates. On most audiovisual platforms it is possible to make an individual subscription or opt for a group subscription. Thanks to this alternative, it is possible for several users to enjoy the content simultaneously, sharing the cost, thus obtaining a price reduction compared to an individual rate. In the event that the user does not have any relatives or friends interested in a joint subscription, there are digital platforms, such as Together Price, that put people interested in sharing expenses in contact and allow these costs to be reduced by up to 80%. Other options are Spliiiit or Pulpo, although multiple alternatives can be found on the Internet.
3. Take advantage of free trial periods to assess whether the content is really interesting. Before starting to pay for a platform, it is necessary to know if the content offered is really interesting and fits what the user is looking for. To make sure that it is a good investment, it is best to start with the free subscription or ask someone you trust for the account. The free trial option is available on such popular platforms as Netflix, Amazon, HBO or Disney+. Finally, in relation to the trial subscription, it is very important to manage the cancellation, if we wish, within the established period of time to avoid automatic renewal.
4. Detect when content is no longer of interest. Being small amounts, sometimes users do not unsubscribe despite spending several months or weeks without accessing the content. To reduce costs, it is very important to detect when the content offered is no longer of interest and cancel the subscription within the established period of time. Broadly speaking, if a platform is not accessed for more than 15 days, it is very likely that the subscription will not be profitable.
