a Youtuber films the fully autonomous driving of his car, day and night

Doubt hangs over the effectiveness of Tesla’s driver assistance systems. To make matters worse, the company recalled several hundred thousand vehicles and stopped deploying the FSD. Two videos restore, a little, the coat of arms of the American car manufacturer.

A YouTube channel has posted two videos that demonstrate the self-driving capabilities of the Full Self Driving function in its latest beta version. Detroit Tesla offers us to accompany him in the streets of Detroit day and night. The videos taken at night and during the day each last about fifty minutes. They are not mounted at all and allow us to see that the driver interferes as little as possible with the vehicle controls.

Tesla is the subject of many criticisms. For the US Secretary of Transportation, for example, Autopilot is a misnomer. Worse still, Tesla’s driver assistance system has been repeatedly accused of causing the death of bystanders or passengers. The company’s CEO, Elon Musk, however, continues to believe that his cars will offer, ultimately a true autopilot function.

FSD 11.3.2 beta version isn’t perfect, but it’s still effective

It is of course understood that neither Autopilot nor FSD have yet passed level 2 which vehicles drive themselves by assisting the driver in acceleration, braking and steering. Detroit Tesla demonstrates in its videos that the FSD Beta 11.3.2 comes close to ticking all the boxes to achieve this. That said, his videos show us that Tesla’s cars equipped with FSD and Autopilot options aren’t yet ready to hit the roads unsupervised.

Some users had, for example, reported that the FSD sometimes tended to stop the car in the middle of a roundabout. This is apparently no longer the case. Even if the Tesla sometimes misses the programmed exits and fails to cause accidents, thus putting the driver in danger.
