Acer introduces its new budget TravelMate series laptops

Acer has introduced three new TravelMate series notebooks. They are especially intended for education sectoralthough they can serve in the same way for users who are looking for mobility equipment with basic features, but at a very affordable price.

The new Acer TravelMates come pre-installed with Windows 11 and are designed to help improve student learning and boost productivity both in the classroom and at home. They use the new Intel N processors announced at CES to fill the gap left by Celeron and Pentium solutions that were discontinued. We review the three announced models:

Acer TravelMate B15 14

It is a laptop with a screen 14 inchesFHD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) and the new software User Sensing from Acer that includes a number of technologies to help reduce eye strain and ensure data security. It is powered by a processor Core i3-N305the most powerful of this series from Intel with 8 cores and an Intel UHD GPU with 32 execution units.

Its connectivity elements include support for Wi-Fi 6E, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and an additional HDR camera with shutter and dual digital microphones, which take advantage of Acer’s AI Noise Reduction technology to suppress any background noise during video calls. .

Is a convertible with a hinge system that allows the screen to be rotated up to 360 degrees and facilitate various modes of use (laptop, tablet…) in a single device. The screen is an 11.6-inch touch screen with FHD resolution, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass antimicrobial glass and interesting options such as a Wacom AES stylus.

The portable variant of the above mounts a 11.6 inch screen and also uses Intel N processors. Like the above, they meet the US military-grade standard MIL-STD 810H with a bumper-reinforced design for shock absorption and other rugged components like reinforced I/O ports and spill-resistant keyboards . They are also advancing sustainability by using recycled materials for their OceanGlass touch panels as well as packaging, and are EPEAT and TCO certified.

On the other hand, through the unified management tools in the Microsoft cloud and Windows 11, in addition to the integration of software and hardware security functions in these new models, schools can simplify and speed up the implementation and management .
