Acer presents its new Chromebooks aimed at the educational sector

Acer has introduced four new teams chromebook supported by Intel technology and aimed at the educational sector, both for primary and secondary schools and aimed at both students and teachers, so they are aligned with the traditional target audience that computers that pre-install ChromeOS have had.

The first model presented is the Acer Chromebook Vero 712, which is a laptop with a 12-inch IPS LCD display running at a native resolution of 1,366×912 pixels, a 3:2 aspect ratio, and optional touch capabilities. As a processor you can equip an Intel Core i3-1215U, an Intel Pentium Gold 8505 or an Intel Celeron 7305.

At the memory level, the Acer Chromebook Vero 712 is available with 4 or 8 gigabytes of LPDDR4 RAM and 32, 64 or 128 gigabytes of eMMC memory for data storage (including the operating system). As for the connections, it has two USB 3.2 Type-C, one USB 3.2 Type-A, a 3.5mm jack connector, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. The battery is 50Wh, the dimensions are 296 x 226 x 22 millimeters, the weight is 1.36 kilograms and it has a 720p webcam, dual microphones and stereo speakers. The base price for Spain is 399 euros.

Second is the Acer Chromebook 511, a notebook that implements an 11.6-inch IPS LCD screen that operates at a resolution of 1,366×786 pixels, 16:9 aspect ratio, and optional touch capabilities. The available processors are Intel Processor N200 and Intel Processor N100, both low-end.

The Acer Chromebook 511 can be equipped in terms of memory with 4 or 8 gigabytes of LPDDR5 RAM and 32 or 64GB of eMMC memory for data storage. For connections, it has two USB 3.2 Type-C, two USB 3.2 Type-A, a 3.5mm jack connector, a microSD card reader, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. The battery is 50Wh, the dimensions are 296 x 226 x 21 millimeters, the weight is 1.35 kilograms and it has a 720p webcam, dual microphones and stereo speakers. The base price for Spain is 349 euros.

Third is the Acer Chromebook Spin 511, a model quite similar to the previous one, so we will focus on the differences. To begin with, its screen uses the same technology and works at the same resolution and with the same aspect ratio, but its hinge can be rotated 360 degrees, it has Gorilla Glass antibacterial protection and an optional Stylus is available. At the camera level, it adds another option for 5MP landscapes, its dimensions are 296 x 208 x 21 millimeters, it is possible to purchase it with 128GB of data storage and part of a base price of 399 euros.

And finally there is the Acer Chromebook Spin 512which differs from the previous laptop in that its landscape camera supports a resolution of 8MP, its dimensions are 296 x 230 x 21 millimeters, its weight is 1.45 kilograms and its base price is 429 euros.

The four Acer Chromebook models will be launched on the market starting in April 2023. We take this opportunity to recall the strong commitment of the manufacturer of Taiwanese origin to computers that use ChromeOS, and not only in the educational sector, but also covering other areas like the gaming.
