Adecco will train the unemployed in the profession of welder free of charge

Despite the high unemployment rate in Spain, one in ten job offers remains unfilled due to the lack of qualified professionals. This figure becomes higher when we talk about profiles such as welders, where there are no qualified personnel according to the needs of the companies.

As part of the Adecco School program, an agreement has been signed with the Huelva company Seabery for the use of your Augmented Reality solution, Soldamatic IE, for the training of welders according to the needs of the industrial sector. This program seeks to make it easier for companies to incorporate qualified personnel, while helping the unemployed to enter the labor market through different training programs.

Jesus Moreno, Regional Director of Adecco, points out that “For years, the Spanish industry has been dragging a significant problem of lack of qualified talent in certain fundamental profiles for its proper functioning. That is why at Adecco we are training workers and unemployed free of charge in professions that are deficient for companies, helping to close that gap both on the worker side and on the labor market. With this new agreement with Seabery we unify two key aspects of our labor market: the use of new technologies in training for employment and a necessary reskilling / upskilling of workers more focused on the real needs of the industry ”.

Spanish technology, developed by the company Seabery, Soldamatic IE is a unique Augmented Reality tool on the market that allows the training of welders in accordance with the high quality standards required by the industrial sector, combining both practical and theoretical content.

For Basilio Marquínez, Executive President of Seabery: “The lack of welders is a problem that affects the industry worldwide, not only in Spain, young people are not attracted. The use of Solamatic IE attracts young people and trains qualified personnel according to the specific needs of the industrial sector, while helping to reduce the high costs of material necessary for internships, as well as training times, since with the use of AR the student will go on to develop real practices when he is trained ”.

The first call is being developed in the province of Albacete, where welders are one of the most deficient profiles in the region, and it will be expanded to the rest of the national territory, until the training of a hundred welders is completed. The duration of these training courses for employment is 100 practical hours in welding of which 50 are done in simulation, with the Soldamatic IE solution, and another 50 in collaborating workshops.
