AECEM trains 1,000 consulting professionals in digital skills

The Spanish Association of Business Consultants (AECEM) is training 1,000 professionals in the consulting sector in digital skills, thanks to tutored virtual training “Digitalization applied to the Productive Sector” launched together with the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE) . Of those 1,000 professionals, approximately 60% have already completed their training. AECEM will continue promoting this training program in the coming months to reach a total of 5,000 students throughout Spain.

This initiative, which aims to accelerate the skills of consulting and advisory professionals in the field of digital transformation, is part of the ‘We work in Digital’ campaign, an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training through the funds European Next Generation EU, which will be developed together with CEOE, Cepyme and UGT.

As explained Ana Mato, president of AECEM, “Training consultants in digitization is essential not only for the development of this sector itself, but also because of the implications it entails for the entire productive fabric. Business consultants are professionals who accompany our SMEs and freelancers in their day-to-day activities and are a key figure in the development of their businesses, so it is vital that they incorporate digitization into their skills and be able to transfer that knowledge to the client”.

In addition, Ana Mato wanted to highlight the benefits of this training program in the professional development of consultants: “We value very positively the reception that the program is having in the sector due to the commitment and satisfaction that the beneficiaries are demonstrating”. ‘We work in Digital’ aims at a total of half a million students from different sectors and branches of the economy for four years, in order to accelerate the digital transformation of the private sector in Spain and modernize and adapt the Vocational Training offer to the demands of the current economy.
