When 100 days have passed since becoming an independent IBM company, Kyndrylwhich came out of the managed services division of the blue giant, the company has reached a strategic agreement on cloud with AWS. With it, the company already has cloud alliances with the three main cloud providers, since a few weeks ago it signed agreements with Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure.
The exact terms of the deal are unknown, but Kyndryl has already stated their intentions with it. The company will collaborate with AWS to offer cloud solutions to its customers. But they also plan to develop their internal cloud infrastructure, with AWS as the main cloud provider. As part of the agreement, Kyndryl will also launch an AWS Cloud Center of Excellence.
Additionally, Kyndryl and AWS have confirmed that they are also developing an accelerator for VMware Cloud on AWS, initiated as a result of another of the agreements that Kyndryl has signed since its inception, with VMware. With it, Kyndryl customers will be able to combine what they are developing in VMware with AWS services, accelerating the path to VMware Cloud on AWS.
Kyndryl, which already has a team of AWS certified service professionals through the Kyndryl Academy, will continue to invest alongside AWS in training its professionals so that by the end of 2022 they will be trained in various AWS skills, and that in this way they can support their customers in the adoption of AWS cloud services and solutions.
