AirPods Pro 2 are coming this fall with a new design

Three years after the release of the AirPods Pro in 2019, Apple is finally about to unveil a new model. The new generation would arrive this fall with a new, more compact design, but above all without a stem.

Apple plans to launch the second generation of the AirPods Pro this fall. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the next generation is rumored to be arriving with a new design, better audio quality and possible integration of health features. This therefore corroborates previous information from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who also expected such changes to Apple’s wireless headphones.

Released in October 2019 at 279 euros, the AirPods Pro were the first AirPods to support spatial audio technology and active noise cancellation, and they also came with silicone tips that made them stand out from other models. This year, Apple should improve all the aspects mentioned above, but above all change the design of its flagship headphones.

The new AirPods Pro 2 will lose their stem

From previous leaks, it is known that the new AirPods Pro 2 are expected to adopt a smaller stemless design, and offer a new and improved charging case. Headphones could also be the first to support lossless audio technology. AirPods Pro 2 may also come with new motion sensors to monitor the physical condition of users.

For the moment, nothing is known yet about the audio quality of these next-generation headphones, but as with each new model, we expect it to improve slightly. On the price side, it is likely that Apple will place its new true wireless at the same price as the 2019 version.

In addition to the AirPods Pro 2, Mark Gurman also expects Apple to refresh its AirPods Max line with new colors. The characteristics should not change, only the color would be different. The Bluetooth headset is currently available in five colors: Space Grey, Silver, Green, Pink and Sky Blue.. It could be that Apple decides to unveil a purple model as it did with the iPhones of previous generations.
