The study and analysis of stars led the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to capture the precise moment when a star explodes and disappears; the images were captured by Hubble Space Telescope, which surprised scientists and astronomers.

Supernova NS 2020fqv was being observed simultaneously by the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS), satellite that POT designed with the aim of discovering exoplanets, that is why astronomers decided to train the Hubble, as well as a set of ground-based telescopes, in order to capture the images of the star.
“Rarely can we examine this material very close circumstellar, as it is only visible for a very short time and we usually do not begin to observe a supernova until at least a few days after the explosion, ”he declared Samaporn Tinyanont, known as the first author of the study who was able to appreciate up close the early destruction of a star.
