Amazon: robots have held an employee prisoner, impossible to escape!

An Amazon employee shared on TikTok where he is seen trying to escape from his warehouse. Problem: the robots on site seem to want to hold him prisoner. As soon as he tries to enter a corridor, one of them comes to block his way.

It’s a story that will send shivers down the spine of the most anxious, but rest assured: everything ends well. Following Amazon’s daunting investment in robotics, many of the firm’s warehouses are now equipped with robots responsible for classifying and arranging stored products. In France, there are already more than 4000 machines of this type. Only here, these can be the source of situations that are at the very least incongruous, vstory of misadventures.

Robotman77, his nickname on TikTok, paid the price. This Amazon employee shared a video four days ago on the Chinese social network, along with the description: “Sometimes it can get crazy. These robots like to do stupid things. The video shows him trying to get out of the warehouse. Unfortunately, as soon as he walks down an aisle, one of the robots instantly blocks his way.

Amazon robots prevent him from leaving the warehouse

“The robots trapped me, it took me 15 minutes to get out of there”, explains Robotman77. We could almost believe ourselves in a horror movie, to imagine that the robots are purposely getting in the way of the unfortunate victim. Obviously, several of them got caught up in the game. Since its publication, the video has counted 840,000 views and over 1,800 comments.

Among the latter, many have fun comparing the rows of products with the magic stairs of Hogwarts, in Harry Potter. Another seems more frightened by the situation as he writes “Five Nights at Amazon” (Five Nights at Amazon), in reference to the famous horror game Five Nights at Freddy’s. Amazon, for its part, assures that robots will not replace its human employees before 2029.
