AMD, NVIDIA and Intel are ready for CES 2022

CES 2022 will start on January 4, that is, in less than a month. This event is known worldwide for being one of the most important in the technology sector, and although it is true that it maintains a focus clearly focused on the general consumer market, it also serves as “thermometer” to measure the state of some of the most important technologies of the moment, and the competitiveness of the giants of the sector.

Its importance in general is beyond doubt, and this year we can expect very important news. Both Intel and NVIDIA and AMD have confirmed a press conference that will take place on January 4, although at different times, obviously. In these conferences, each giant will take the opportunity to show at CES 2022 your key news With which it will face the first half of 2022. We do not have any confirmed details beyond what has been said, but after the last leaks that we have been seeing, we can share with you a fairly reliable estimate of what we can expect from each company.

We started with AMD. The Sunnyvale company will almost certainly introduce the new Ryzen 6000 series processors, which will be based on the Zen 3+ architecture, manufactured in 6nm process and equipped with 3D stacked cache memory. This will be the company’s highlight, and is expected to be accompanied by two major “starters”: the announcement of the Radeon RX 6500 XT and Radeon 6400, and new information on RDNA 3, its upcoming graphics architecture.

We continue with Intel. The chip giant is back on the right track with Alder Lake-S, and we look forward to seeing CES unveil Alder Lake-P (for notebooks), the announcement of the Alder Lake-S in version “not K” and new details about the Arc Alchemist graphics solutions, which are expected to be launched sometime in the first or second quarter of 2022.

We are done with NVIDIA. The green giant should introduce two new laptop graphics cards, the RTX 3080 Ti Mobile, which will become the most powerful of its class, and the RTX 3070 Ti Mobile, which will fill an important gap within the high-end notebook range. On the desktop, we expect to see the RTX 3090 Ti, which will be the most powerful graphics card in the general consumer market, the RTX 3080 at 12GB and the RTX 3070 Ti at 16GB.
