Honor has unveiled a new connected watch with a very elegant design. The Watch GS 3 can be worn in all circumstances, both for sport and for social outings.
With the Watch GS 3, Honor demonstrates that it is possible to reconcile the two facets of a connected watch: the design aspect and the health monitoring functions. This new model indeed bears witness to a certain aesthetic sense reminiscent of more traditional watchmaking!
No scheduled release yet in Europe
The GS 3 benefits from a stainless steel chassis, which protects a 1.43-inch round AMOLED screen (466 x 466, 326 ppi). Honor declines its new watch in three colors (black, silver and gold), each being supplied with a suitable strap that can be changed. The 45.9mm case is 10.5mm thick and it weighs 4 grams.
On the back of the GS 3 is a heart rate sensor that also measures blood oxygenation. The watch is also positioned as a sleep monitoring tool, with more than 200 tips and recommendations to improve the quality of your nights.
There is of course a GPS, improved compared to the MagicWatch 2 of 2019: the calculations necessary for positioning are shortened by 47%, while the precision is improved by 167%. The watch is 5 ATM waterproof (it can withstand immersion in up to 50 meters of water), and it offers the monitoring of more than a hundred sports activities, including 10 in “professional” mode.
The device also includes an NFC chip and 4 GB of storage. In terms of autonomy, the GS 3 offers an autonomy of 14 days (or 30 hours with the GPS continuously active) with its battery with a capacity of 451 mAh. 5 minutes of charging is enough to last a whole day. The watch is already available in China, at a price of 1,300 yuan, or around €180.
