Andor: Filming finished for the Disney Plus series

Filming of Andor, prequel to Rogue One, have ended and the series is preparing to enter the post production phase for an arrival on the Disney Plus platform in 2022.

After the filming of The Book of Boba Fett And Obi Wan, also Andor closes this phase of production of the series and Lucasfilm is preparing to launch the three new shows, along with the third season of The Mandalorian.

The news comes from Bespin Bullettin, a reliable source that has followed the making of the series day after day, which confirmed that the shooting of the series has ended a few days ago and that some sets are already being dismantled.

Beginning in November 2020, filming of Andor they had suffered many delays, mostly due to Covid 19, with an outbreak that broke out among the members of the crew.

Another factor that lengthened the shooting times was the particular production, much closer to a feature film than to a series.

Focused on the character of Cassian Andor, the series will be a prequel to the film Rogue One and will tell the adventures of the young rebel spy fighting a mighty Galactic Empire.

Now a period full of big news is ahead, with the arrival of trailers and promotional material dedicated to the three new series in production at Lucasfilm, in addition to the already run-in and acclaimed The Mandalorian, ready to start shooting next month.
