Apetamcor joins ATA to give more coverage to the Galician transport sector

apetamcor (Business Association of Transport of Goods by Road of Galicia) has integrated into ATAthrough which more than 1,300 businessmen in the transport sector become part of this national association of self-employed workers.

The 2020 pandemic has been followed the exponential rise in fuel pricesthe consequences of the war in Ukraine or the continuing uncertainty as to whether or not they will extend the system of modules with a turnover of €125,000, currently scarce given the rise in fuel and other elements of transport (a 30% increase in vehicles , wheels, oils etc,) that forces businessmen who are in this tax system to stop their activity for 2 months.

It is essential to modify the current direct taxation system, as is already the case in the Basque Country and Navarra, where there is a hybrid system between modules and direct with greater flexibility in billing that has allowed its employers not to have to stop working, thanks to the increase in the billing limit.

To this situation we must add structural problems that have affected the transport sector for some time, such as late payments, excessive subcontracting in the transport chain, the shortage of drivers, the difficulty of the entrance examination to the profession of entrepreneur of transport and lack of transport schools in Spain, the lack of adequate and supervised parking for trucks, the unfair competition existing in the sector -which must be pursued by our administrations, which is mainly due to the existence of false associated work cooperatives and social dumping with relocated companies-, the lack of recognition of occupational diseases or the necessary implementation of early retirement.
