Apple registers new Macs for future release
In the database that we have previously discussed, identifiers have been found that are totally unknown. Specifically with regard to Mac, the A2442 and A2485 models that could match the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros. Rumors currently on the table suggest that these new laptops will be released by the end of the year. They are expected to feature an M1X or M2 silicon chip and will also include a complete redesign. Specifically, the Touch Bar could be eliminated to recover the design of the old keyboard and more connection ports would also be included. Obviously all of this is just guesswork from hearsay. Only these serial numbers have been known in the database.
It is also a tradition that every year new Apple Watch are presented together with the iPhone on duty. On this occasion, the serial numbers have also been registered in the database under A2473, A2474, A2475, A2476, A2477 and A2478. These models would be the new Apple Watch Series 8 that will include watchOS 8 and that could be presented in the month of September. Rumors suggest that this watch will include slimmer bezels in its design and also an updated display to offer higher quality. And when it comes to the launch of the iPhone, there are also some clues about it. Specifically, in June the serial numbers A2628, A2630, A2634, A2635, A2640, A2643 and A2645 were registered. But it is clear that this is an expected release and there is no surprise whatsoever about it.
Why should new products be registered?
All companies, including Apple, are obliged to carry out an encrypted registration of all products to be launched on the continent. This means that the Eurasian Economic Commission must have a database with all these data, making the serial number public as we have commented. This is something quite common at Apple when the launch of a new iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple Watch approaches. The most remarkable thing is that the registration suggests that the launch is imminent in the coming months.
Specifically, rumors suggest that Apple is preparing an event in September where the Apple Watch and the iPhone will be presented together. If we look back in the case of Macs, the event can be delayed a few months later, specifically in October or November. This also responds to a decision that aims to prevent the different devices from overshadowing and being spread over the quarters of the year.
