Apple now has more than 1.8 billion active iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches or Macs worldwide. Thanks to the success of its latest products, the Silicon Valley giant has generated record revenues despite the shortage and the health crisis.

This January 27, 2022, Apple published its quarterly results for the last quarter of 2021. Thanks to the monster success of the iPhone 13, the Cupertino giant generated $71.63 billion in revenue over the period, up 9% compared to the end of 2020. This is a new record for the brand.

Thanks to the release of the new MacBook Pros, the computer sector has also exploded. Apple sold $10.85 billion worth of Macs, up 35% year-on-year. Despite the chronic shortages caused by the semiconductor crisis, Apple welcomes “of historic revenue of $123.9 billion, up 11% year-over-year”. The brand also announces profits of 30 billion.

Apple continues to grow its user base

In its press release, Apple reveals that there is 1.8 billion active devices of his own in the world. This figure concerns both iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Apple Watch or AirPods. According to the figures communicated in 2020, it is estimated that the iPhone represents 1 billion of these active terminals.

“This quarter’s record results were made possible by our most innovative suite of products and services ever. We are happy to hear the response from customers around the world at a time when staying connected has never been more important”, says Apple CEO Tim Cook, confirming that the brand’s latest releases have boosted sales.

According to Luca Maestri, Apple’s chief financial officer, the services offered by the brand, such as Apple Music, Apple Arcade or TV+ continue to attract more and more users. Services now matter 785 million paying subscribers, or 165 million additional subscriptions in the space of one year. The proliferation of offers, such as Apple Music Voice Plan, have contributed to this increase in the number of customers. Over the quarter, Apple earned $19.52 billion from its services, one of the company’s new growth engines.
