Apple Music already offers you your Replay 2023

Music streaming services, such as Spotify and Apple Music, often offer their users an interesting summary of the music they have listened to for a year when it is about to end. Last year, at the beginning of December, both services already offered this summary, as we told you here, where we also explained how to access these personalized compilations, which allow us to recover some moments of the year, due to the habit of many people from associate songs and records to specific events.

It happens, yes, that normally this type of lists are ephemeral. They have a very specific period of time to be “consumed” and then they are lost, as Rutger Hauer said, like tears in rain. And I agree that they are not something as impressive as seeing burning ships attack beyond Orion or C-rays glowing in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate, but on a personal level, many would appreciate having a longer experience in time, whatever the way.

And the good news is that with the service of those from Cupertino it is possible, since Apple Music already offers you access to your Replay 2023. Yes, we have not yet finished the first month of the year, and yet we are already talking about an annual summary. And no, Apple does not have a crystal ball in which to see what songs you will listen to during the rest of the year to show them to you right away (which, on the other hand, could be a very interesting exercise in self-fulfilling prophecy, that is, would we listen to those songs because it puts it on the list, making sense of it?). No, it’s actually a lot simpler than that.

Apple Music already offers you your Replay 2023

What happens is that, as of today, Apple Music will update our Replay 2023 weekly, thus offering us a follow-up of the most played songs of the year as 2023 progresses. Thus, you will not have to wait until the end of the year to see which songs you have listened to the most. Every week you will be able to access an updated version that will include the hundred songs that you have listened to the most since the beginning of the year and up to now. This means that, upon reaching December, the surprise factor is lost, yes, but if you prefer it that way, it is enough that you do not access your playlist until the end of the year.

If you’ve already listened to a lot of music during January, you’ll be able to see a playlist in the Apple Music client, but if not, it probably won’t show up yet. Nevertheless yes, you can consult it through the web interface of the service. To do this, access music.apple.com/es/replay from your browser, and the songs that you have listened to the most on Apple Music in recent weeks will be displayed.
