This new version of macOS includes advanced data protection for iCloud as a notable novelty. A new connection to the Apple cloud that adds end-to-end encryption for iCloud backup, Notes, Photos, iCloud Drive, Reminders, voice memos, etc. This new encryption will be available on all platforms and will be introduced with the release of iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2, and macOS 13.1.
