For the holidays, Apple TV + unveils a new stop-motion short film. A surprise bell for Ted Lasso fans.
Ted Lasso is a hit on Apple TV +. Launched in 2020 on the SVOD platform, the series by Bill Lawrence and Jason Sudeikis has forged a solid reputation among football fans and also and especially sitcom spectators. While a third season is already in the works, the creators have a little Christmas surprise in store for their fans.
On YouTube, Apple has just unveiled a Christmas short film, in stop-motion. This is not the first time that these little puppets have appeared, they were already in the spotlight in the credits of the Christmas episode aired this summer. From now on, they will once again take a little well-deserved break before who knows how to make their return in season 3.
A date for season 3?
Released in August 2020, Ted lasso has so far stuck to its schedule by unveiling a new season a year after the previous one. We can therefore hope that this next round of episodes will be no exception. Especially since the showrunner explained that he wanted to take advantage of the summer to bring his series back.
As a reminder, Ted lasso follows the adventures of an American football coach who has just been recruited by a British soccer team. He must lead his players to victory, while learning the rules of this game! Camped by Jason Sudeikis, the character originally created for an advertisement has largely met his audience. It has become the most popular series on Apple TV +.
This third season could nevertheless be the last, according to the screenwriter. According to him, the adventures of the coach were imagined in three bursts of episodes. We can nevertheless hope that the platform is not ready to do without such a success, and that it orders a fourth season. Some sort of third half?
