Chinese New Year, also known as Lunar New Year or Spring Festival, is China’s most important holiday. The celebrations often last more than two weeks in China, and the festivities are celebrated by Chinese and other East Asian people around the world and are closed by the lantern festival.

Each new year is associated with one of the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac, each related to certain characteristics and elements. Whereas 2021 was the year of the Ox, 2022 will mark the transition to the year of the Tiger. The year of the Tiger was also celebrated in 2010, or in 1998.

Apple launches special edition of Beats Studio Buds for the Year of the Tiger

To celebrate the Year of the Tiger, Apple has decided to launch a special edition of its Beats Studio Buds wireless headphones. This new version has the same characteristics as the original headphones, but sees his design take distinctive elements of the animal. Indeed, the new Beats Studio Buds will arrive in red, with golden stripes on the case and ear cups which obviously recall tigers.

According to the Californian giant, the new True Wireless headphones will be available for sale from January 1, 2022. For now, we do not know exactly at what price or in which countries Apple plans to launch these personalized Beats Studio Buds, but they may well only be available in Asia, including in Japan. In addition to these limited edition headphones, Apple also took advantage of the event to unveil a limited edition of AirTag in Japan with a tiger emoji.

As a reminder, the Beats Studio Buds are available from 149.95 euros, and offer an in-ear design similar to Apple’s AirPods Pro. We find in particular an active noise cancellation system, replaceable tips, 8 hours of battery life and Class 1 Bluetooth standard for quick pairing with Android and iOS devices.
