MacBook Air

Although Apple has just introduced us to the new, or better said, redesigned, MacBook Air with the new M2 chip, the American company is not going to stop selling the model with the M2 chip. He understands that although the M2 gives a huge advance in quality for the computer, not all users need those specifications and therefore they can opt for something more “affordable”. In fact they are about 300 euro cheaper, but not everything is in the price.

Yesterday, during WWDC, Craig presented us with what can be considered the best MacBook Air in Apple’s history. Not only because it has been completely redesigned, but because it has the new beast inside. We are talking about the new M2 chip that on paper, the specifications and results it gives are great. We can compare the two computers through the official Apple website and we will see that Not only do they differ in price and not by much.

The MacBook Air M1 is worth 1,219 euros and has a 13.3-inch screen. The M2 is not too different, we have a price of 1,519 euros and a 13.6″ screen. What really sets it apart is the chip. M1 versus M2 and in the GPU cores that the new MacBook has 10 versus 7 in the M1. The next difference is the weight, now he has slimmed down to 1.24 kg. Nothing bad.

Then we have details that perhaps, and I mean perhaps, are not decisive, but they can make a difference. For example, on the new MacBook Air, we find a higher resolution 1080p FaceTime camera and features a new four-speaker sound system, spatial audio support, and a new headphone jack that supports higher impedance headphones.

The choice is difficult, isn’t it? Because for 300 euros more….
