Apple has posted a support document for a new 35W dual-port USB-C power adapter on its official website. It was obviously a mistake as the Cupertino giant quickly deleted the page.

Fortunately for us and unfortunately for Apple, our colleagues at 9to5Mac were able to recover the information from the page before it was deleted. “Use the Apple 35W Dual-Port USB-C Power Adapter and a USB-C cable (not included) to charge your device”explains the support page.

A charger to charge an iPhone and an Apple Watch simultaneously

It would bea first for Apple. Currently, the Californian group does not market a charger with two USB-C ports. The only accessory that can charge two devices is the MagSafe Duo charger. Several third-party brands, including the essential Belkin, nevertheless offer quality solutions to go through wired charging or wireless charging by induction through a single adapter.

“Connect a USB-C cable to either port on the power adapter, then plug the power adapter firmly into the power outlet. Make sure the power outlet is easily accessible for disconnection. Connect the other end of the cable to your device”explains the Apple website.

With this power of 35 W, the adapter will be able to charge two devices simultaneously, like an iPhone (via Lightning cable, wireless, or MagSafe) or an Apple Watch. The iPhone 13 Pro Max does not support more than 27W wired, against 5W for the brand’s connected watches, including the Apple Watch Series 7. The accessory would be ideal on a bedside table for example.

For the moment, it is completely unknown when Apple aims to market this new accessory. Apple could wait until September 2022 and the release of the new iPhone 14. It is also still possible that this product was finally discontinued and the publication of the page was never planned. We’ll tell you more as soon as possible. While waiting for more information, do not hesitate to give your opinion in the comments below.
