Apple would present it in June

A couple of weeks ago we told you that Apple was going to present the new iMac Pro this year, but we had no details about the exact date of said presentation. Now, thanks to a new leak, we have learned that the apple company would theoretically announce the new iMac Pro in June, taking advantage of the celebration of the WWDC.

In terms of design, the new iMac Pro is expected to be very similar to 24-inch iMac that Apple presented last year, although with a less colorful and more serious aesthetic, that is, more appropriate for its “pro” approach. As far as hardware is concerned, this new team will make a significant leap compared to the previous generation, although there are still some things in the air, such as the specific SoC that it will use.

Although there is nothing definitive, I think it is most likely that the new iMac Pro will come with the chips Apple M1 Pro and Apple M1 Max, that is, that it uses the same SoCs that we saw in the latest generation MacBook Pro. They are very powerful, and should be able to cover without problems the needs of the user profiles that use this line of Apple professional equipment.

The screen mini LED It will be another of the great novelties of that generation, and it is that the new iMac Pro will make use of this technology according to numerous reports. However, it must be taken into account that other sources have been saying the opposite, so both possibilities are open, at least for now.

For the rest, Apple may introduce something new at the level of peripherals, and it has also been commented that the iMac Pro could adopt the notch that we saw on the screen of the MacBook Pro, although the latter does not seem very likely to me. The base configuration of this new iMac Pro should have at least 16 GB of RAM, and a 512 GB SSD. From there, we should be able to scale up to much more powerful configurations, and also more expensive ones.
