A week has already passed since Apple’s presentation of the new iPhone and other devices. We already know that in October we will have the event in which the new Macs will be presented. Let’s not think now that they will come with the M3 chip but with the M2. But computing does not stop, rather the industry cannot stop. They have been thinking about the future of new devices for a long time and that is why they think on the new generation of Mac that they will have to come. We refer to those that may arrive in 2024. We still don’t have the vast majority of Mac devices with the M2 chip with us, except for the MacBook Air, and we’re already thinking about the new Mac with M3. Apple’s Future M3 Chip for Mac Will Be Manufactured Using TSMC’s Enhanced 3nm Process known as N3E next year, according to a new report from Nikkei Asia. The devices are expected to launch throughout 2023.
Considering that new generations of chips are always better than the previous one, the N3E will offer better performance and power efficiency compared to TSMC’s first-generation 3nm process known as N3, according to the report. Note that TSMC’s first-generation 3nm process will be used for some of its upcoming iPad chips. We do not know at the moment which iPad models but rumors indicate that Apple will update the iPad Pro next month with the M2 chip. It’s a matter of guessing.
The report does not specify anything else about Macs. It focuses on iPads but of course the news of having an M3 in Macs, with how well the M2 works in the MacBok Air and how well it is expected to work in MacBooks Pro, it will be the best thing that can happen to computers. This can only get better.
