In an interview with Inverse, Zack Snyder explained that the title of the Army of the Dead sequel will be Planet of the Dead which, considering the ending of the first film, would seem to be a rather apt title.
Snyder, however, did not just reveal the title of the film, but also anticipated the return of a famous character, whose death (not appeared on the screen) had given rise to numerous speculations.
“The real adventure would be to find out what happened to (Ludwig) once that safe was closed” said the director during the recent interview. “Was he killed by Zeus or not? What happened? We don’t see him die on stage, and there is still time in history. I’m not going to tell you what’s going to happen in Army of the Dead 2 – or Planet of the Dead – but let’s say it is possible that Dieter survived. “
As we know, in addition to the prequel and sequel to Army of The Dead, an animated series will also arrive on Netflix called Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas, which will tell a story of the origins of the character played by Dave Bautista.
