Foundation

Foundation is one of the premieres most anticipated Apple TV +, we could say since its launch in November 2019. Apple has invested a large amount of money in this bet, a bet that as expected, has been renewed for a second season according to what they say from Variety through Apple’s head of programming TV +, Matt Cherniss.

Matt Cherniss has welcomed the audience success that “embraces the captivating, suspenseful and impressive journey of emotions” that is the Foundation series, a series that will return for a second season, although at the moment the details about when it will be released are unknown.

Speaking from Matt Cherniss to Variety:

We know how long fans of these beloved Asimov stories have waited to see his iconic work brought to life as a visually spectacular series of events and now we can’t wait to show even more of the richly layered world, compelling storytelling, and impressive construction. of the world in the second season.

Although at the moment only the first 3 episodes of the Fundación series are available on Apple TV +, the Cupertino-based company have enough confidence in her to have confirmed a second season so quickly.

Part of the blame is also on millionaire investment that Apple has made in this bet, which you do not want to get rid of so quickly and will try to amortize it as much as possible. According to David S. Goyer, Fundación will consist of 80 episodes, which at a rate of 10 per season, represent 8 seasons.

The main cast includes Jared harris, Lee Pace, Lou Llobell and Leah Harvey, with David S. Goyer as showrunner. The series is described as “a complex saga of humans scattered on planets in the galaxy living under the rule of the Galactic Empire.”
