ASRock iBOX 1200, without fans and with Intel Alder Lake

The ASRock iBOX 1200 is a mini PC designed for the industry sectorand also to work in environments where there is a high concentration of dust and dirt, since it is designed as a totally closed system and is based on a passive cooling system that uses the entire chassis to keep working temperatures under control.

Externally, the ASRock iBOX 1200 has a sober and discreet design focused on what is important: functionality. In this sense, as I have already said at the beginning of the article, the most relevant thing is that key of the system of passive cooling supported by the entire chassis. This explains that design in the form of metal fins that completely surrounds the chassis, and that are present both in the upper area and on the sides.

Taking a look at its specifications, we find that the ASRock iBOX 1200 comes equipped with an Intel Core i7-1265UE processor in its top-of-the-range configuration, a chip that uses the Alder Lake-P architecture and that it is outlined as a low consumption solution, something fundamental so that temperatures are not a problem, since all the equipment is passively cooled. Its GPU is an integrated Intel Iris Xe.

ASRock iBOX 1200 supports up to 64 GB of RAMit can mount two storage units, and it has a fairly wide range of connectors:

We can configure the ASRock iBOX 1200 with a Intel Core i3-1215UE, an Intel Core i5-1245UE or with the aforementioned Intel Core i7-1265UE. Obviously, the latter is the most powerful of the three. It is compatible with Windows 10 as well as Windows 11, and you should have no problem moving Linux.
