ASRock iBox-N97, fanless mini PC with Alder Lake-N

The ASRock iBox-N97 is a mini PC that has a minimalist, classic and non-flashy design, and that has become another of the great champions of the new devices based on Alder Lake-N that are coming to the market, although this one stands out especially for having one fanless construction.

Its chassis is designed to collaborate in cooling tasks, something that is key so that heat does not accumulate in the internal radiator that makes contact with the processor. an Intel N97 using the Gracemont architecture and having four cores and four threads running at a speed of up to 3.6 GHz. It has 6 MB of L3 cache, and its IPC is similar to what we would find in a Skylake chip, which means that it is capable of offering a good user experience in office automation and in not very demanding tasks.

The GPU that integrates this chip is a Intel UHD which has 24 execution units, and which is capable of offering good performance with basic tasks. Having a fanless design, the ASRock iBox-N97 is an excellent choice for workspaces where silence is essential, and also where dust is a constant.

The TDP of this processor is only 6 watts, so we will not have any problem with the working temperatures. We can configure it with up to 16 GB of DDR4 3,200 MHz memory, it has an M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3 slot, and it has space for a 2.5-inch SATA II storage drive. It will use Windows 11 as the pre-installed operating system.
