Asturias will be the first stop of the new edition of Venture on the Road

Venture on the Road starts a tour, which will begin on December 1, and which will take it to six Spanish cities in its sixth edition, to find the best startups in the seed phase. The traveling event is organized by SeedRocket, BStartup of Banco Sabadell, and Wayra, For the second consecutive year, it has the collaboration of Google for Startups.

The program once again maintains its format and objectives: search for the best dealflow in each region and give startups in the seed phase the opportunity to present their project to investors and generate quality networking.

In this edition, Venture on the Road will visit six Spanish cities with the aim of identifying talent and promising startups at a regional level, beyond Madrid and Barcelona, ​​leading technology hubs in Spain. Specifically, the event will reach Oviedo, Cartagena, Bilbao, Malaga, Valladolid and Alicante. As always, in each community, Venture on the Road will have the collaboration of partners from the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The call is open through the Venture on the Road website and, among the necessary requirements to be able to participate, it stands out that they are incorporated companies; with at least one product or service developed; that it is a company in the technology sector or related to the digital area and with a versatile team; that are led by an entrepreneur dedicated full time to the project; and that has a focus on an international market.

The national winner of this sixth edition will receive as a prize a package of aid from all partners to consolidate your startup. Specifically, the pack includes:

  • Specialized advice in finance or marketing worth 3,000 euros offered by BStartup.
  • Participation as guest project at the Campus for Entrepreneurs and 3 hours of advice from SeedRocket.
  • Access for 6-12 months to the Wayra offices, as well as fast-track access to its sponsored events, contact list, communication support, and access to its workshops and training.
  • Admission to Google for Startups Campus Madrid for 6 months and they will be able to access 2 mentoring sessions with the Google for Startups team to identify support possibilities for their growth.

For its part, the winner of each city will be able to be part of the Google Cloud Platform digital natives program with up to $10,000 in credits valid for 9 months and technical follow-up with Google Cloud engineers; as well as preferential access to advanced training from Google Cloud Platform training programs.

The first stop of this sixth edition of Venture on the Road will be in Oviedo, where a meeting will be held on December 1 thanks to the collaboration of local partners: the European Center for Business and Innovation (CEEI) of the Principality of Asturias, Astur Valley and Oviedo Emprende. Darío Méndez, Co-founder of ElTenedor (acquired in 2014 by Tripadvisor), the leading reservation platform in the sector in Europe with a network of 45,000 restaurants and more than 16 million visits per month, will participate in the event. In addition, Méndez is currently a mentor at SeedRocket and an investor in various startups such as Karmig, Howlanders, POiN, Localside or Recovo.
