Coinciding with the shutdown of Google Stadia, the internet giant’s hardware partners have begun releasing gear with the Gaming as protagonist. We had already seen laptops from Acer, Lenovo and ASUS itself, and now from CES another one has arrived: the ASUS Chromebook Vibe CX34 Flip.
Can you play with a Chromebook? The answer is yes. Maybe not to the level of big Windows laptops, like the impressive updated ROG Zephyrus and Strix series models that ASUS has brought to Las Vegas, but the hardware level of Chromebooks has risen enough that they can otherwise connect with Large cloud gaming services can install Steam and also the Google Play Store to access the thousands of games on the Android platform.

It equips Intel 12Gen processors with models such as the Core i7-1255U, 16 GB of 4266 MHz RAM and a PCIe NVMe solid state drive of up to 512 Gbytes, making it a one of the fastest Chromebooks on the market.
To facilitate connectivity when gaming in the cloud, ASUS has included a wireless module Wi-Fi 6E. It also features USB 3.2 Gen2 ports and an HDMI 2.1 output for connecting to external displays. Its autonomy should reach 10 hours. Marking the focus for games we see an orange WASD key layout on an anti-ghosting, backlit keyboard with customizable keys.
With the latest version of Chrome OS and with the subscription to NVIDIA GeForce NOW and Amazon Luna+ that the manufacturer usually gives away for three months, the ASUS Chromebook Vibe CX34 Flip will be available this quarter. No price has been provided, but welcome to increase the number of alternatives to Windows and macOS.
