The Taiwanese giant has presented the new ASUS PN64, a line of mini PCs with a very compact design that are equipped with Intel Alder Lake processors, and that adopt a clearly minimalist line, allowing them to seamlessly integrate into any workspace.
Externally there is not much to highlight, since the ASUS PN64 have a very discreet line and plant, and come in a dark gray color that fits any style, and that will allow them to look good on any desktop.
As far as hardware is concerned, the ASUS PN64s mount Alder Lake-P processors and hit the ceiling in the Intel Core i7-12700H, a chip that has 6 high-performance cores and 8 high-efficiency cores, which translates into 14 cores and 20 threads. Its maximum working speed is 4.7 GHz (high-performance cores).
How could it be otherwise, the ASUS PN64 uses 4,800 MHz DDR5 memory, has space to mount NVMe SSD drives in M.2 2280 format, can also mount a 2.5-inch drive (SATA) and has a wide range of connections, including two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, three USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, two HDMI 2.0 outputs, a 3.5 mm jack and a 2.5 Gbps LAN. Integrates Wi-Fi 6E connection.
To further expand its product portfolio, ASUS has presented a version of the PN64, the PN52, which maintains its essence in terms of design and quality of finishes, but which bet on AMD Ryzen 5000 APUs. This model comes with some important changes that go beyond the use of AMD chips: it uses 3,200 MHz DDR4 memory, it has an additional slot for M.2 2280 SSD drives, it has a USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 connector, four ports USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 and does not include the 2.5 Gbps LAN port by default. It also does not include Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.
Both models will be available from the second quarter of 2022. We do not know the official prices in Spain, but we do know that the Intel-based model will start in $ 369.
