There are some computer models that have managed, in their own right, to become a benchmark, and this is undoubtedly the case with the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16, a real beast that, by dint of always scaling up to the latest in components, which are combined with a micron-planned design and which integrates the latest technology, continues to amaze us from generation to generation, even though we already know in advance that we are facing at the top of the range.
Next we will review its specifications but, as you already know, these usually tell us only half the story. So, if what you want to know is how this 2023 ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 behaves on the test bench, here you can find the complete analysis that we submitted it to a few days ago. In addition, and so that you can check what I previously indicated that its previous generations have also set maximums at the time, you can review the analysis of the 2022 model, and also that of 2021.
Let’s remember that the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 2023 is a laptop especially aimed at gamers and content creatorssomething that we can deduce from its specifications, of course, but also from the RGB LED lighting of its keyboard and, above all, from its AniME Matrix system, a system that allows images and texts to be displayed made up of points of light on the equipment’s cover. , an original and fun alternative to the external lighting of other equipment.

Although we are talking about two models, as you can see in the table they are practically identical. The only two differences, which I have highlighted in bold so that you can find them at a glance, are found in the graphics adapter of each of them, as well as in their storage capacity. Regarding the first point, in both cases the latest generation NVIDIA GPUs are mounted, although the GU604VZ-NM008W mounts a GeForce RTX 4080 Mobile with 12 gigabytes of GDDR6 RAM, while the GU604VY-NM001W scales up to the top of the NVIDIA range, with a GeForce RTX 4090 Mobile with 16 gigabytes of GDDR6 RAM. And in terms of storage, the first offers one terabyte, while the second doubles that capacity, with two terabytes, in both cases NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD.
The screen deserves special mention. We find a panel ROG Nebula HDR 16-inch mini-LEDwith WQXGA resolution (2,560 x 1,600 dots in a 16:10 aspect ratio), with a refresh rate of 240 hertz and a response time of just 3 milliseconds, a brightness of 1,100 nits, 100% representation of the DCI-P3 color space, Pantone validation and Dolby Vision HDR compatible. A screen that, as we already indicated at the beginning, and in combination with its features, make it a perfect work tool for content creators who need the highest image quality.
Regarding the rest of its components, we see that this ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 2023 does not fall short either. The system is built around an Intel Core i9-13900H, an integrated processor presented by Intel at CES 2023. It has 6 performance cores and 8 efficiency cores, for a total of 20 threads, integrates 24 megabytes of L3 cache and, in turbo mode, it can scale up to 5.4 gigahertz. It is accompanied by 32 gigabytes of DDR5-4800 RAM (on two 16GB SODIMMs) that can be expanded up to 64 gigabytes. It supports dual channel memory (dual channel). The set is powered by a 90 WHrs battery.
To provide maximum performance, a key element of the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 2023 is its internal design and the elements of the heat dissipation system. As my colleague Isidro already told you in the very complete analysis that I mentioned before, we are facing an absolutely premium system, with a full-width heatsink in conjunction with ROG’s Tri-Fan technology, which passes air from three Arc Flow fans by notches located millimeters so that it reaches the heat sink.
As we indicated in the title of this news, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 2023 is already available in Spainand its price is €3,599.00 for the GU604VZ model and €4,299.00 in the case of the GU604VY.
