Avell launches new line of gaming and professional notebooks with Alder Lake CPUs

On Thursday night (27), Avell announced two new features for high-performance players and professionals: in addition to announcing its newest line of HYB notebooksthe brand took the opportunity to update its Storm gaming line, which now includes a high-end laptop compatible with liquid cooling.

HYB pleasure

“HYB” is not meant to just sound like a cool name. In fact, the term comes from “hybrid”, to designate the new line of Avell notebooks aimed at different audiences: the designer who also plays, the gamer who also studies, and several other cases. .

But in addition to an allusion to the hybrid format that gained prominence with the pandemic, the term is related to the processors that will power the five announced HYB models: the 12th generation Intel Core (Alder Lake), which are divided between performance cores (P- Colors) and efficiency cores (E-Cores).

The A55 HYB is one of two entry-level models in Avell’s new lineup. The most basic version of the notebook comes with a 15.6″ FHD display and 144 Hz refresh rate, Intel Core i5-12500H processor, 8 GB of DDR4 RAM, 250 GB NVMe SSD and a GeForce GTX 1650 GPU (4 GB GDDR6 ) from Nvidia.

Those who opt for the Pro version of the model will acquire a device with almost the same configurations, except for the 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB SSD.

Still on the base models shelf is the A57 HYB. The model features almost the same configurations as the A55 HYB, but instead of an Intel Core i5-12500H CPU, Avell opted for an Intel Core i7-12700H processor. The Pro version also includes the same RAM and storage upgrades seen on the A55.

Moving on to the middle shelf, Avell announced the A70 HYB notebook, which will be sold in two versions. The first brings a device with Intel Core i7-12700H, 8 GB of RAM, 250 GB NVMe SSD and a RTX 3050 super GPU (4 GB GDDR6).

The second version, in turn, features a laptop with the same processor, but with twice the RAM (16 GB) and SSD (500 GB), in addition to a more robust GPU: RTX 3060 (6 GB GDDR6).

Both models also include Pro versions, with more RAM and SSD storage.

The A72 HYB introduces the premium models of the HYB range. Although the processor is the same as the A70 HYB, the notebook is powered by a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (8 GB GDDR6) and has a screen with the same 15.6″, but with a refresh rate of 165 Hz.

About the memories: 16 GB of RAM and 500 GB SSD in the basic version and 32 GB of RAM and two NVMe SSDs of 1 TB each.

The last (and most powerful) of the HYB lineup is the C65. And the heaviest price is related to better configurations: RTX 3080 or RTX 3080 Ti (16GB GDDR6), Intel Core i7-12700H, 17.3″ screen with an incredible 240 Hz refresh rate, plus options for 16GB or 32GB of RAM and SSD of 500 GB or 3 TB (in total).

Avell updates Storm notebook

Not counting the launch of the HYB line, Avell announced an update to its Storm gamer line. Logo rebrands aside, the manufacturer announced the Storm Two notebook, developed specifically for gamers on the go.

The device comes with 17.3″ QHD display with 165 Hz refresh rate, Intel Core i7-12700H and GeForce RTX 3060 (6GB GDDR6). Like the models in the HYB line, the notebook comes with options of 16 GB or 32 GB of RAM and NVMe SSD up to 3 TB (in total).

The difference, however, lies in the compatibility with the Ice Mod: the first liquid cooler for notebooks in Brazil. The accessory, weighing only 1.39 kg, promises to reduce the speed of the notebook’s fans by up to 50% of the maximum value, in addition to reducing the device by about 20 °C compared to conventional cooling systems.

The Storm Two starts at BRL 11,999, while the Ice Mod starts at BRL 999.
