Batman: Gotham Knights is coming to The CW

However, the new TV series, as reported by EW, will not be a spin-off of Batwoman (show already in its third season), nor will it have to do with the Gotham Knights videogame currently in development.

The short official synopsis describes a show starring Bruce Wayne’s rebellious adopted son making an unlikely alliance after the murder of the Caped Crusader:

Following the killing of Bruce Wayne, his rebellious adopted son forms an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when the latter are blamed for eliminating the Dark Knight.

As the most wanted criminals in the city, this gang of misfits and renegades must fight against everything and everyone to clear their names.

Gotham is now orphaned of Batman and his protection, so much so that the city has become more dangerous than it has ever been.

Hope, however, comes unexpectedly to say the least from this group of fugitives who will become the next generation of heroes, known as Gotham Knights.
