For the third season of Batwoman the arrival of Poison Ivy in the e series Bridget Regan will play Dr. Pamela Isley.
With a brief hint that occurred in the season two finale, it’s now confirmed that the botanical researcher will be one of the main characters in the new season of Batwoman.
Bridget Regan will play Poison Ivy in the Batwoman series
It just looks like the series Batwoman of The CW has found hers Poison Ivy in the actress Bridget Regan. Known primarily for her role in Marvel’s Agent Carter, where she played a Russian sleeper agent forerunner to the Black Widow program, Regan has also starred in films such as John Wick, Devil’s Gate, and series such as The Sword of Truth and The Last Ship.
Now the Arrowverse will introduce their own version of the character alongside Javicia Leslie’s Ryan Wilder.
If the series Batwoman was heavily inspired by Batman mythology, in past seasons many of the Dark Knight’s most notorious villains were only hinted at or mentioned in passing. While this is allowed to be a Ryan Wilder to take on the role of Gotham City’s masked crusader more fully, many fans have been waiting to see some of the biggest names in Gotham’s villain gallery make an appearance in the series. The hope is that adding this character to the series is just the beginning of a new trend that could introduce other Batman villains as well.
Poison Ivy made her comic book debut in 1966 as a botany and biochemist, possessing the ability to control plant life and use pheromones for mind control. Previously the role was played by Uma Thurman in Batman & Robin of 1997 and from Clare Foley, Maggie Geha And Peyton List in the television series Gotham of Fox.
The third season of Batwoman will see its debut on October 13 and the curiosity in discovering what the new version of Poison Ivy will be like is definitely great.
