Internet service providers block illegal addresses

Thanks to the court decision, the various French Internet service providers now have the obligation to block the web addresses of around twenty streaming sites that are currently unknowns. This is a major victory for television which comes at an opportune time, since the football world has its eyes on the African Cup of Nations (CAN) currently being contested in Cameroon.

Indeed, this blockage occurs at a time when beIN Sports France is broadcasting exclusively for its subscribers the entire TotalEnergies African Cup of Nations, one of the most watched competitions in the world and historically very pirated“, underlines the chain. Faced with suspensions from their favorite streaming sites, it is not impossible that some fans finally end up subscribing to BeIN Sport.

We had recently been able to see that several IPTV sellers had seen their illegal activity being disrupted by the authorities. A seller of boxes, for example, was ordered to pay 145,000 euros in damages. In addition to sports competitions, we also explained why pirating manga and anime will become much riskier by April 2022.
