The well-known retailer BestBuy has leaked the price of the Intel Alder Lake-S series “not K”, that is, of the variant that will arrive with the multiplier locked. This series has generated great interest because it could become one of the most attractive, from a price-performance perspective, for the consumer. It is not a complete list, that is, not all the models that will hit the market appear, but it does include the most important ones.
In total, we have the price of 12 different processors that cover, as we see in the list that you will find below, from the Core i9 range to the Celeron range. I remind you that the models that are identified with the letter “F” have the iGPU disabled, and that’s why they are usually a little cheaper than those that do have it activated. However, they are an excellent option, in fact they are usually present, almost always, in our guides dedicated to the best processors of the moment.
Price of the Intel Alder Lake-S series «not K»
- Core i9-12900 – $ 529.99, about 560 euros to change (VAT included).
- Core i9-12900F – $ 509.99, about 547 euros to change (VAT included).
- Core i7-12700 – $ 359.99, about 386 euros at the exchange rate (VAT included).
- Core i7-12700F – $ 329.99, about 353 euros to change (VAT included).
- Core i5-12600 – 239.99 dollars, about the 256 euros to change (VAT included).
- Core i5-12500 – $ 219.99, about 238 euros to change (VAT included).
- Core i5-12400 – $ 209.99, around 225 euros to change (VAT included).
- Core i5-12400F – 179.99 dollars, about 193 euros to change (VAT included).
- Core i3-12100 – 139.99 dollars, about 150 euros to change (VAT included).
- Core i3-12100F – 109.99 dollars, about 118 euros to change (VAT included).
- Pentium G7400 – $ 79.99, the change would be about 86 euros (VAT included).
- Celeron G6900 – 59.99 dollars, it is around 64 euros to change (VAT included).
The price of the Intel Alder Lake-S «no K» that I have left you in the previous list is a direct conversion to euros, applying VAT, so keep in mind that the final price in Spain could vary slightly due to rounding, and possible upward or downward adjustments by each retailer. All in all, I think they will serve as an orientation to be clear about what we can expect from the next processors from the chip giant.
Personally, I reaffirm myself and believe that the Intel Core i5-12400F is the most interesting option of all that list, since for 193 euros it would offer an outstanding performance in single wire, and thanks to its configuration of six cores and twelve threads it could move any game optimally, both present and future.
Intel Alder Lake-S “not K” Processor Specifications
In the high-end models there will be no changes compared to the K series, which means that the Intel Core i9 will have 8 high-performance cores and 16 threads, accompanied by 8 high-efficiency cores, which leaves us a total of 24 wires. The Core i7s will also maintain the 8 high-performance cores and 16 threads, and the 4 high-efficiency cores, for a total of 20 threads.
However, the Core i5 “non-K” series will have a configuration of 6 high-performance cores and 12 threads, which means that they will not have the 4 high-efficiency cores that the Core i5-12600k and Core i5-12600KF have. For its part, the Core i3 will have 4 high-performance cores and 8 threads, and the Pentiums will come with 2 high-performance cores and 4 threads. Finally, the Celeron should have 2 high performance cores and 2 threads, but I have seen some listings where they indicate that it will have 4 threads.
Except for surprise, these new processors should be presented at the beginning of this yearAlthough we still do not have an official date that we can share with you. However, the most credible rumors point to early January. Before finishing, I remind you again that the price of the Intel Alder Lake-S is indicative, and that it could change slightly depending on each specific market, and each retailer. In the last image you can see the design of the new fan included with the Core i9 “not K”.
