The year starts very badly for Bitcoin. After months of rising, the price of the queen of cryptocurrencies continues to fall. The digital currency fell back below the $40,000 mark following announcements from the US Federal Reserve. The central bank is preparing the end of the financial support measures intended to stimulate the economy, on a drip since the containment measures of March 2020.

A few days later, the price of Bitcoin is briefly dropped below $30,000, causing the loss of 1000 billion dollars. The cryptocurrency market, still correlated to more traditional assets, seems to be entering a bearish phase.

Bitcoin at $400,000 by 2030

Despite this anxiety-provoking climate, many analysts and financial experts expect the price of Bitcoin to quickly recover. Finder, a leading product comparison site, surveyed 5 fintech specialists regarding the evolution of the value of Bitcoin.

The panel of experts is unanimous: the price of Bitcoin will rise in the coming months. “Bitcoin (BTC) is expected to peak at $93,717 this year before falling to $76,360 by the end of 2022… This is around 60% higher than the price of Bitcoin at the start of 2022”explains the Finder report.

The creation of Satoshi Nakamoto don’t intend to stop there. “By the end of 2025, the committee predicts that BTC will be worth $192,800 and will grow to $406,400 by the end of 2030”, assures the panel. Mirroring the panel interviewed, Goldman Sachs, a famous American investment bank, estimates that the price of Bitcoin will soon reach the symbolic threshold of 100,000 dollars in the years to come.

Before rising again, the price should however dive back into the beginning of the year. “We wouldn’t be surprised to see Bitcoin drop 30% from current levels in the first half of 2022”, warns one of the observers. Currently, Bitcoin is trading around $37,000.
