Bouygues Telecom has just launched a new mid-range fiber offer. This Bbox Must subscription includes a new box compatible with WiFi 6. We take stock together.
While Bouygues Telecom decided in October 2022 to shelve the Sensation packages, the operator continues to change your offers. Indeed, Bouygues presented this Monday, November 7, 2022 his new Bbox Must subscription.
With this offer, the company integrates a new Wi-Fi 6 compatible modem. Like the Bbox Ultym Fibre, this device is made with at least 90% recycled plastics. The modem is also certified Gree Product Mark by the TÜV Rheinland organization. It is moreover the very first box to obtain this certification on the French market according to the operator.
As a reminder, this distinction guarantees compliance with the design criteria and the environmental quality of the product. Thus, we note for example that the weight of this modem has been reduced by 37% compared to the previous generation of WiFi 6 box. Electricity consumption is also reduced by 18%.

An ecological and efficient modem according to Bouygues
“This new Bbox WiFi6 is the result of more than two years of work and mobilized both Bouygues Telecom employees and those of our partners to offer an Internet modem optimized over its entire life cycle, which combines technological performance and control of its environmental footprint”, said Benoît Torloting, CEO of Bouygues Telecom.
Regarding the design of this modem, the operator has opted for a vertical format, which according to him, ensures optimal distribution of WiFi in the home, while guaranteeing excellent ventilation. Note that this modem embeds a “smart WiFi” function. In other words, the modem selects in real time the best frequency band and the best channel for each connected device in order to offer the best possible connection.
As for debits, Bouygues promises up to 1 Gbit / s download and up to 700 Mb / s upload. The offer also offers more than 180 TV channels, a Bbox 4K TV decoder, a TV recorder (up to 100 hours), as well as unlimited calls to landlines and mobiles in France, and to landlines in more than 110 countries. . The Bbox Must Fiber subscription is offered at €24.99/month for one year, then at €41.99/month. Attention, there is one year of commitment.
