It is one of Martin Scorsese’s most personal projects. In fact the same You have defined this project as follows:
We are delighted to finally start production by Killers of the Flower Moon in Oklahoma. Being able to tell this story in the land where these events occurred is incredibly important and critical to allow us to portray an accurate description of the time and the people. We are grateful to Apple, the Oklahoma Office of Film and Music, and The Osage Nation, especially all of our Osage cultural consultants and advisors, as we prepare for this shoot. We are excited to begin working with our local cast and crew to bring this story to life on screen and immortalize a moment in American history that should not be forgotten.
There is no set release date for the film, but production started in February 2021 and is expected to last for several months. The movie is being filmed in Osage and Washington counties in Oklahoma.
