Let’s face it, Apple TV + is still an unknown platform for many. And it is that, despite the lack of data to corroborate it, it is a reality that many great contents for which the platform has invested a lot have gone unnoticed by a good part of the public. Leaving aside the success of Ted Lasso, the platform continues to grow in content and, little by little, it is receiving nominations and awards.
The nominees for the Golden Globes 2022 were recently announced, including various content from Apple’s platform, as well as actors. Although it is true that these awards do not go through their best moment due to various factors, it is still striking that, just 2 years after its launch, Apple TV + becomes a regular in them, regardless of whether it ultimately stands out with some award or not.

What are their chances of winning?
If we analyze these nominations based on the purest statistics, we must say that they all start equally in the competition. And put to go further, there is a category with 3 nominees from Apple that a priori leaves with an advantage and is that Billy Crudup and Mark Duplass, from The Morning Show, are once again nominated in the category for best supporting actor in a dramatic series, now joining Ted Lasso’s Brett Goldstein. We remember that Crudup already won it in a previous edition, although competing with actors like Kieran Culkin and Oh Yeong-su from such a successful series as Succession and The Squid Game could play against these three.
Curious is the case The swan song Y Macbeth, films that did not officially premiere on Apple TV + (the first will be on Friday and the other on January 14) and yet they have managed to get their leading actors nominated. About CODA, nominated for best film, is currently the only content on the platform that is not available beyond the United States.
In the rest of the categories, the competition is really going to be very tight. Bombshells like The Squid Game or Succession win many integers to sweep in this gala. We will see if finally Ted Lasso remains a safe value for the brand in a less competitive category such as best comedy. In less than a month we will get rid of doubts.
