[CBLoL 2022] Check out how the 3rd week of the tournament’s playoffs went

Red. This was the predominant color over the last weekend of CBLoL 2022 — and no, it has nothing to do with the red side of picks and bans. In fact, the last weekend of the Brazilian League of Legends Championship was dominated by red due to the RED Kalunga.

The reigning CBLoL champions, fueled by their victory against Liberty last week, beat FURIA and KaBuM! by two 3×1 scores. As a result, the Pack secured a spot in the final and will now face paiN Gaming in the fight for the cup.

Check the results of the third week of the CBLoL 2022 playoffs

Round 3 Lower Key (9/04) — FURIA vs RED Kalunga (winner)

The first match of the third round of playoffs brought the current CBLoL champions and the team initially cited as favorites to win the tournament. Both teams had been defeated in the upper bracket and needed to show the famous “something more”.

And RED managed to show this differential in the first match, especially due to the great performance of Renata Glasc de Jojo. After gaining an advantage in the bot lane, support joined the team to explore pickoffs and map control. The result of this was the victory of the Pack in just over 30 minutes.

FURIA even outlined a reaction by winning the second game and tying the series. But it was little. RED had great performances from marksman TitaN and jungler Aegis in the following games and closed the series with a flashy 3×1 to keep the dream of the double championship alive.

Superior Key Ending (10/04) — KaBuM! x RED Kalunga (winner)

On Sunday it was the turn to decide the second finalist of the First Stage of CBLoL 2022. KaBuM! was the favorite for finishing first in the points stage? It even was. But RED grew a lot in the playoffs and, rocked by the last two triumphs, tried to get the third (and in a consecutive way).

In-game, it was the ninjas who started better. The Pack focused on the top lane to not let South Korean Parang grow. Did not work. Gangplank naturally escalated, and with the Baron of Wiz theft, KaBuM! managed to open 1×0 in the series.

For some, the series had already ended in the first game. The only “detail” is that there was a TitaN inspired by RED’s luck. No wonder, the shooter was one of the highlights in the next three matches – and even got a pentakill –, all of which RED won.

Result: turn turned, “goodbye” from KaBuM! and yet another Pack triumph.

Grand finale: paiN Gaming x RED Kalunga

With the results, the final will be decided between paiN and RED Kalunga. Both teams will measure efforts on the day April 23 (with fans) to decide who will get the CBLoL 2022 trophy. It is worth remembering that the champion of this First Stage will also represent Brazil at this year’s Mid-Season Invitational (MSI).
