Exciting. This is perhaps the best way to define how it was the last week CBLoL 2022 points run. This past weekend, rounds 17 and 18 gave dramatic “tones” for some teams and relief for others, bringing much dispute until the last match.
LOUD even managed to do their homework by beating RENSGA, but it wasn’t enough: the team still needed to hope that paiN was defeated by RED in the last game of the 18th round. Did not happen. After a surprising second round, paiN beat the reigning CBLoL champions and secured the final spot for the playoffs.
In addition to the “traditional team”, KaBuM!, FURIA, RED Kalunga, Netshoes Miners and Liberty also advanced to the knockout stage of the Brazilian League of Legends Championship. Speaking of which, the playoffs will start this Friday (25th), without any pause for breath.

Kaboom! finishes 1st in the points phase
With the end of the points phase, the CBLoL 2022 table looked like this:

Having finished in first place, the ninjas chose RED Kalunga as their opponent for the first semifinal of the upper bracket. paiN Gaming, the last one to guarantee the spot for the playoffs, will take on FURIA, 2nd in the general table, in the other semifinal.
The lower bracket, in turn, will start with the confrontation between Netshoes Miners and Liberty. It is worth remembering that the losers of the semifinals of the upper bracket will also have a second chance in the lower bracket and can reach the grand final – but by a much more complicated path.

Playoffs start this Friday
Riot Games will not give teams time to rest. This Friday (25th) will be the day of the clash between Netshoes Miners and Liberty. The semifinals between KaBuM! x RED Kalunga and FURIA x paiN Gaming will take place on Saturday (26) and Sunday (27), respectively. Before that, the last week of the CBLoL Academy will start from this Tuesday (22).
