🆚 What are the differences between the iMac 2021 models?
The new iMac M1s are available in two configurations. The first which offers an 8-core CPU and 7-core GPU, and the second which is equipped with an 8-core CPU (4 performance cores and 4 energy-efficient cores), and an 8-core GPU and 16-core Neural Engine. Apart from this small detail, the 2021 iMac M1s offer exactly the same features and all feature Apple’s M1 chip announced as “1500 times faster” on the graphics part.
Note that the cheapest iMac M1 model, the one with an 8-core CPU and 7-core GPU, does not have the two USB 3 ports and the Gigabit Ethernet port. If this first is reserved for configurations starting at 1669 €, it is however possible to add the Gigabit Ethernet port as an option, for 26 €. Finally, Apple offers the iMac 2021 in 7 colors: green, orange, red, pink, purple, blue and gray.
