Cigna StressWaves, a new tool to measure stress through voice

Thanks to machine learning technology, the machine only needs 60 seconds to listen to the tone of the voice, the choice of words and the pauses made to generate a reading of the current stress level.

According to the “Cigna Well-Being 360” study, currently 78% of Spaniards suffer constant levels of stress that affect their health and well-being, generating physical pain, fatigue, low moods and irritability. Among the main causes of stress, 42% point to the current cost of living; 36% to uncertainty about the future; 29% to personal finances, and another 29% to high workload.

Likewise, the study also reveals that the groups that represent the highest percentage of stress are working women, millennials (between 25 and 34 years old) and working people with children.
