Comafe and Qplus create Neopro, the largest hardware cooperative group in Spain

A new limited company has been born, neopro, fruit of the union of the Madrid De Ferreteros Cooperative, Soc. Coop. and the Catalan cooperative Quality Ferretería Plus SCCL The new entity will have its headquarters in the Comafe facilities in Madrid, which will centralize all the commercial activities of both cooperatives.

With this initiative Neopro is configured as the Spain’s largest hardware cooperative group with a commercial volume of 200 million euros, serving more than 1,000 points of sale throughout Spain.

Neopro will be incorporated into the NCC purchasing center, occupying the space of Qfplus, where three more cooperatives are located: Ymas (Andalusia and Asturias), Coinfer (Valencia) and Synergas (Basque Country), which will centralize a volume of activity of 300 million euros, with a strong role in the traditional hardware channel.

With this alliance and the creation of Neopro, the status quo of the hardware sector in Spain is changed, with a national organization whose objective is improve purchasing power and service to points of sale, modernizing them and preparing them for an increasingly competitive market, and accessing a series of new services possible thanks to Neopro’s purchasing power.

Neopro will assume the commercial activity of the two cooperatives, integrating into a single structure the purchasing, marketing and sales strategy teams of Comafe and Qfplus, within the same strategy and operations for the stores and members of both cooperatives, focusing on customer. Neopro will also manage the purchases and payments to suppliers of the four current warehouses (Alicante, Barcelona, ​​Madrid and Palma), which represents a relevant competitive advantage.

New business relationship model

The creation of Neopro will also mean a new model of commercial relations with suppliers, the integration and definition of commercial assortmentsthe promotion of logistics as a differential competitive tool, the digitization of commercial banners and a service and training plan at the point of sale, in addition to a series of commercial solutions with added value and differentiated, both for the general and industrial areas. .

For Enrique Pagnon, President of Comafe, “The creation of Neopro provides the members of both cooperatives with tools, models and projects that will allow the sustainability and future of the points of sale of the traditional channel. The changes in the market and in the consumers demand that the actors of this channel act and make structural decisions, not only conjunctural, that allow to maintain the degree of competition and competitiveness, as well as the innovation and growth of the points of sale.

For his part, Delfí Sirvent President of Qfplus points out that “The current regional cooperative model has a limited degree of competitiveness” and highlights that “Neopro offers a project for the future, exciting for its partners and the rest of the sector, based on a powerful and advanced logistics structure, digital solutions that facilitate omnichannel services , new commercial alternatives supported by proximity and diversity, the integration of suppliers in the portfolio, a differentiated value chain, and an integrating project with a global vision”.
