A councilor in Argentina of the party of former president Mauricio Macri -Juntos por el Cambio- caused controversy on social networks for having launched an electoral spot inspired by the Netflix series, the Squid Game where do you ask “Eliminate” your opponents. It happened in the town of Rosario de Lerma in the province of Salta.
The policy identified as Griselda Galleguillos placeholder image made his clip recreating the scene where the game doll “Green light, red light” he kills participants who are still on the move when he asks not to.
In the 45-second clip, the macrista comes out dressed as the famous doll and next to her is accompanied by a man wearing red costume and mask like those used in the organization of the series while holding a long gun when Galleguillos sings:
“If you don’t want to keep having the refrigerator empty, eliminate them. If you don’t want to leave the country because you don’t have ‘laburo’ (work), eliminate them. If you don’t want them to keep stealing from you, eliminate them.”
Networks react to the electoral spot
Some users went against Griselda Galleguillos’ spot at post repudiation phrases What:
- “OH! THIS IS MY ARGENTINA? THEY MAKE ME WANT TO CRY ”.
- “Arjensimios, what a high culture they have.”
However, this it’s not the first time that the opposition policy now carries out controversial spots, since in the month of August it drew the attention of netizens by publishing another spot where it was launched as candidate to reach the provincial Senate.
In that spot, Griselda Galleguillos sang a rap from a terrace where repudiates the “politicians on duty”, those who remain for a long time in the same position despite the fact that she had been elected three times as councilor.
